Professional Lighting – from simple to networked

The demands placed on modern outdoor lighting are continuously increasing. In addition to energy efficiency, safety, orientation, and user comfort are playing an ever more important role. To meet these requirements, five coordinated, progressively structured control levels are available.

Level 1: ON/OFF

ON/OFF – represents the entry level with a classic ON/OFF circuit. Once switched on, the luminaire emits continuous light until it is switched off. Reliable, but neither environmentally friendly nor energy-efficient.
 

Level 2: Autonomous Dimming

Autonomous dimming operates with static, time-based dimming. Fixed time profiles reduce the light level, for example during low-traffic nighttime hours. This creates a calm lighting environment and additional energy savings – independent of movement.

Level 3: Motion Sensor BS

The BS motion sensor activates the luminaire when movement is detected. After 90 seconds, the luminaire dims down to 10%, and after a further 5 minutes it dims down to 0%. This solution reduces energy consumption compared to continuous lighting, but does not provide basic/background illumination.
 

Level 4: Motion Sensor via the Zhaga Interface

This level uses a motion sensor via the Zhaga interface. The sensor is replaceable and individually configurable. Sensitivity, timings, and brightness levels can be flexibly adjusted and retrofitted if required. This creates a balanced relationship between safety and efficiency.
 

Level 5: CLEVER LIGHT Lighting Management System

The highest expansion level is Level 5 with CLEVER LIGHT. Here, luminaires do not operate in isolation but are networked. Light dynamically follows movement, with smooth, situation-dependent transitions. The result is a high level of safety, comfort, and energy efficiency.
