VOLKMAR'S CHANGING HISTORY ILLUMINATED IN A MONUMENT PROPERLY

The manor house, picturesquely located between the Salzhaff and the Baltic Sea, was acquired by the Beste family in 1828. They cultivated over 500 hectares of fields, forests and meadows all the way to the Salzhaff. In 1835, a new two-story mansion in the classicist style was built on the old foundation walls. In 1945 they expropriated Russian occupying power the family. During the GDR era, the house fell into disrepair. Dr. Klaus Beste, the son of the former landowner, bought the area back. The manor house was restored in accordance with monument standards and the former 8-hectare park with the wonderful old trees was also partially recultivated Today there are holiday apartments in the manor house. The VOLKMAR old town light was chosen to illuminate the entrance and access routes. In a traditional design with a lamella reflector and pleasantly warm white, glare-free light, the lamp fits perfectly into your surroundings. A feel-good atmosphere for people, animals and nature. Sometimes it just has to be a little sea.
