IN THE MIDDLE OF IT ALL INSTEAD OF JUST BEING THERE
The small town of Calbe in Saxony-Anhalt, situated on the charming Saalebogen, has invested heavily in recent years. The commitment is paying off, as locals, tourists and commuters use and enjoy the benefits in and around Calbe every day. The redesign of the area around the station creates comfort and safety for 450 passengers boarding and alighting every day. The decorative DAHLIA lighting columns and ALFONS technical luminaires illuminate the squares, streets and paths in an efficient and environmentally friendly way. The LED lens technology in combination with the installed CLEVER LIGHT lighting management system provides light when it is needed and reduces illuminance and costs when nobody is on site. The transport station is also made more attractive by the newly created bus loop and parking spaces. The TESKA charging station offers electric cars the opportunity to charge. The majority of the project was funded by the state's interface program. Cyclists were also taken into consideration. They benefit from the new connection to the Saale cycle path. Over a length of around 1.6 kilometers, the route of the riverside cycle path on the city side was once again significantly upgraded. Clever light management was also used here, which offers comfort for the environment and safety for users, especially in protected biospheres.
