GRACEFUL LIGHT FROM RONDO ON THE DARMSTADT CAMPUS
The Lichtwiesenbahn will significantly improve the accessibility of the TU Darmstadt campus in Hessen. Emission-free and relaxed travel is now possible from the main station via the city centre to the campus. Darmstadt, a city of science, relies on the tram, which reduces emissions, noise and particulate matter on a large scale and thus contributes to efficient, environmentally and climate-friendly mobility. As part of the project, the campus grounds were also redesigned. New green spaces significantly enhance the campus. The curved paths and recurring tracks are taken up by the RONDO circular luminaires used. Warm white light, directed and soft at the same time, illuminates the open spaces on the campus in the evening hours, thereby creating safety on the tracks without excluding visitors to the campus. On the contrary, the traffic-calmed location is now an invitation to stay, which is an asset for urban development. The RONDO luminaire is installed on 4,50m and needs 18W at 2,200lm RESEARCH, WORK AND FEEL GOOD WITH RONDO IN DARMSTADT
