CLEVER LIGHTING. SMART CHARGING.
The Kiebitz recreation area in Falkenberg/Elster, Brandenburg, is a popular destination featuring a bathing lake, cycling and hiking trails, and a wide range of leisure activities. To ensure visitors can enjoy the area safely even after dark, the site is equipped with an intelligent lighting solution. CARA luminaires with CLEVER LIGHT technology are installed throughout the area. Integrated sensors reliably detect approaching pedestrians and cyclists, automatically adjusting the light output to actual demand. This enhances safety while significantly reducing energy consumption. Another key advantage is the adjustable outreach arm, which allows the luminaire to be precisely aligned and optimally adapted to local conditions. The project is complemented by the LOTTA pole-mounted bicycle charging station. Mounted directly onto the lighting pole, this compact solution provides two Schuko power outlets, allowing e-bike batteries to be conveniently charged along the route—saving space, ensuring safety, and eliminating the need for additional infrastructure. This project is an excellent example of how intelligent lighting and modern charging infrastructure can sustainably enhance public spaces.
