LOTTA – CUSTOMIZED FOR PROJECTS
In Frankfurt, the historic "Eiserne Steg" has been guiding pedestrians across the River Main between the old town and the Sachsenhausen district since 1868. It is a remarkable feat of self-help by the city's citizens, as the city's magistrate found the bridge's construction too expensive. The Iron Bridge also overcame other obstacles and survived collisions and explosions during World War II. It has been rebuilt and renovated several times. The bridge is still popular today: lovers hang their locks on almost every spot on the bridge. The attention to detail also brought LOTTA to the Eiserner Steg. LOTTA was designed individually for the existing bridge rail. The challenges were that the existing rail could not be changed, the surface-mounted light also had to withstand vandalism and direct warm white, non-glaring light invitingly onto the bridge. LEIPZIGER LEUCHTEN mastered this with flying colours. LOTTA illuminates the pedestrian bridge inconspicuously but effectively. Passers-by feel comfortable and safe on the venerable monument. INDIVIDUALLY MADE LOTTA LIGHTS BRING ATMOSPHERE TO THE IRON STAGE.
