THERE WILL BE (LESS) LIGHT

Artificial lighting brings us comfort and security. The animal world, on the other hand, has problems with the loss of naturally dark night landscapes associated with too much artificial light: nocturnal animals are significantly disturbed, their radius of action is restricted and the food supply is reduced. Migratory birds lose their orientation due to light pollution, insects are attracted to the light and die. This in turn affects animals that eat insects, such as hedgehogs, common toads or bats. With the "Emission-reduced public lighting" project, light emissions and energy consumption are to be reduced and the quality of light improved throughout the municipality of Fläsch. This includes reducing the light points, setting up demand control and adjusting the color temperature and light spectrum of public lighting.
