LIGHT FOR COMMUNITY AND ARCHITECTURE – LIVING WITH SASKIA AT THE ELFENWIESE
In Hamburg’s Marmstorf district, a very special residential project has taken shape: “Wohnen hoch drei” – two modern, sustainable apartment buildings with a total of 24 residential units, spacious communal areas, and a large garden. Here, people of different ages and backgrounds live together in a community shaped by openness, solidarity, and togetherness. For the buildings’ clear, modern architectural design, an equally subtle yet effective lighting solution was required. The choice fell on the Saskia I LED post-top luminaire, single-arm and warm white, which gently illuminates pathways and outdoor areas without drawing attention to itself. The lighting concept is complemented by wall luminaires from the same series, which provide harmonious illumination along the façades. A particularly smart feature: all luminaires are intelligently networked via the CLEVER LIGHT HUB GPS 203C – with automatic positioning, individually programmable dimming profiles, and energy-efficient operation. Thanks to integrated motion sensors, the lighting is activated as needed – for greater safety, comfort, and sustainability. The result: a holistic lighting concept that connects architecture, outdoor spaces, and community. A project that shows how light not only brightens spaces – but also fosters social connection.
