STELLA AT THE HEART OF EDUCATION
On the campus of the educational centre in Kassel – a key hub for vocational and further training in Northern Hesse – light steles from the STELLA series have been installed. The deliberate choice of a restrained, adaptable design ensures a seamless integration into the open learning environment. What makes this project unique is the decision to use customised heights and spacing of the light points. While STELLA LIV/07 light steles are typically installed at overall heights starting from 3.5 m or 4.5 m, this project features heights of 1.5 m and 3.5 m. The lower light point height creates a pleasantly personal atmosphere and fosters a sense of closeness – a clear asset in a campus setting designed to encourage interaction and exchange. The distances between light points were also reduced to achieve the desired illumination level using non-glare LEDs. This enhances the sense of comfort and safety in the outdoor space without compromising functionality. SUBTLE LIGHTING THAT INSPIRES LIFELONG LEARNING.
