The city of Langenhagen in Lower Saxony has awakened the 650m² large and previously overgrown and dark Ehlersplatz. In the last 4 months, the area was redesigned and upgraded for the neighborhood with money from the “housing bonus” funding program. The barrier-free space is inviting and open. The old trees were preserved, beds were created, seating walls were built and colorful play points were set up. Visual axes to the streets were created and hedges to neighboring properties were planted to provide privacy. The square's attraction is the light sculpture TILLA. Your large lampshade conjures up a living room atmosphere in the square. In the dark hours, the new design element deliberately ensures more brightness and safety. The glare-free light signals that this space can now be used for relaxed meetings even in the dark hours without disturbing the neighborhood or nocturnal insects. It's nice when dirty corners become inviting places. THE LIGHT SCULPTURE TILLA IS DESIGNED WITH - DAY AND NIGHT.
