LIGHTING DESIGN FOR OPEN LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS
Nestled between fjords, mountains, and rugged coastal landscapes, the Einedalen Skule on the Norwegian island of Leinøy is a place where architecture, nature, and community blend together in a truly special way. The modern school was created as a shared learning environment for children from several surrounding island communities. Spacious outdoor areas, open architecture, and the close connection to nature make Einedalen Skule an inspiring setting for everyday school life. For this project, we had the opportunity to implement our NOA luminaires. With their clean design language and warm white light, they integrate harmoniously into the calm Nordic landscape, guiding pathways, gathering areas, and the campus with a pleasant lighting atmosphere. Projects like this demonstrate how important high-quality lighting is for orientation, safety, and well-being — especially in places where nature and architecture interact so naturally. THIS IS HOW A LIGHTING ATMOSPHERE IS CREATED THAT SUBTLY ENHANCES THE LOCATION AND MAKES IT TRULY EXPERIENCEABLE.
