At Olvenstedter Scheid in Magdeburg, Saxony-Anhalt, an intelligent lighting solution from LEIPZIGER LEUCHTEN ensures excellent visibility across the new skate park. Eight ALFONS II luminaires mounted on twin crossarms provide uniform and powerful illumination. With CLEVER LIGHT, the luminaires are intelligently networked. Sensors detect movement within the skate park and automatically adjust the lighting to actual demand. When the full light output of 20,000 lumens is not required, the system automatically dims the luminaires. This enables the operator to reduce energy consumption and use resources more efficiently. Another key advantage is the system’s flexible control. Light levels and operating times can be adjusted quickly and easily to suit changing requirements and can be reprogrammed at any time. The lighting is activated only when the skate park is actually in use. This avoids unnecessary operating hours and ensures that light is provided exactly where and when it is needed. With a colour temperature of 4,000 K, the installation provides clear visibility and good conditions across the skate area, even during the evening hours. THIS ENSURES EFFICIENT LIGHTING AT EXACTLY THE LEVEL REQUIRED AT ANY GIVEN TIME.
