SKILLFULLY RENEWING THE VILLAGE SQUARE WITH STELLA
Mittelstreu is a district of the municipality of Oberstreu in Lower Franconia and has around 600 inhabitants. Mittelstreu is particularly known for its abundance of water with its three springs. Following an application by the municipality of Mittelstreu to the Office for Rural Development, Mittelstreu was included in the Bavarian Village Development Program in order to strengthen the quality of life in the village and improve living and working conditions. With funding from the state and federal government, an architectural concept was implemented that reorganizes the area and brings the generations closer together again. The council and residents are very satisfied. Steles and bollards of the STELLA luminaire type from Leipziger Leuchten were used. In the Dark Sky system, the luminaires only shine downwards and direct the light via the lenses to where it is needed. To provide additional illumination, BES in-ground spotlights were installed to highlight the façades and plants at a specific time.
