GESA AND MARCEL GIVE THE SPEEDING ROLAND AND OTHER TRAINS A NEW SHINE

On the island of Rügen in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the Raging Roland is one of the most popular historic small trains still in use in local public transport. In recent years, the railroad experience landscape on the railroad premises in Putbus has been built and upgraded for visitors and travelers. The GESA and MARCEL luminaires were installed for the newly designed outdoor facilities, parking lots and platforms. GESA, whose reflector has a proud diameter of 715mm, was modeled on the historic trackside luminaires. With symmetrical light distribution, they illuminate the tracks in the station with warm light. MARCEL also illuminates the platforms on 4m high masts in the same historical design so that visitors and tourists can visit the site safely. This will create a new visitor highlight for tourists on the Baltic island of Rügen, which will open at the end of May 2024. The project was funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs (GRW) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). BETTER WORKING CONDITIONS FOR EMPLOYEES AT A HISTORIC SITE WITH GESA AND MARCEL.
