SUSTAINABLE GUARDIAN STELLA

In Binz, a popular holiday destination on the coast of the island of Rügen in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the STELLA XXIII light column provides a functional yet aesthetically pleasing illumination for a pedestrian and cycle path. The luminaire was specially adapted to meet the specific local requirements, fulfilling both safety-related and design-oriented demands. STELLA features two levels. The light source is integrated in the upper level, while the lower level contains a camera module instead of an optional LED module. The upper section of the 6-metre-high column is equipped with a powerful LED module delivering 5,600 lumens, providing sufficient light to enable continuous video surveillance even at night. Thanks to its two available module slots, STELLA XXIII can be flexibly equipped with various lighting modules. For instance, one lens can be directed at the roadway and another at the cycle path, significantly reducing light pollution. When combined with the intelligent lighting control system CLEVER LIGHT, this effect can be enhanced even further, enabling sustainable and resource-efficient lighting. Another benefit of the STELLA light columns is the option to integrate supply connections such as electricity or water directly into the column – adding a level of functionality for modern infrastructure solutions. STELLA serves as a striking, robust guardian along the path. Powder-coated in RAL 7022, the column is also treated with an anti-graffiti and anti-poster coating to withstand the harsh sea air and deter vandalism.
