The Thuringian district town of Schleiz, in the Saale-Orla district, is located on the plateaus of the eastern Vogtland. Schleiz is also known for its famous meringue cake and the "Schleizer Dreieck" race track, one of the oldest natural race tracks in Germany, where motorcycle and automobile races are held every year. The town has been undergoing redevelopment for years, also with the help of subsidies such as the "European Regional Development Fund" (ERDF) from the "Thuringian Ministry of Infrastructure and Agriculture" (TMIL). The newly designed "Bürgerteich Schleiz" park in the town center was recently inaugurated. The challenge was to transform the historically evolved green space into an attractive city park while taking ecological and demographic aspects into account in the planning. And it has succeeded. In summer, the large trees provide shade for passers-by resting on benches and children playing. The well-paved path, now pleasantly illuminated by ALBRECHT even in the hours of darkness, invites people to linger. The historical but not too playful design of the ALBRECHT luminaire refers to the town's long history and builds a bridge between the old and new buildings around the Bürgerteich. For the town of Schleiz, LEIPZIGER LEUCHTEN has adapted the standard ALBRECHT luminaire to the existing listed luminaire in the town. ALBRECHT IS HELPING TO REALIZE THE "ISEK SCHLEIZ 2030" URBAN DEVELOPMENT CONCEPT.
