ATMOSPHERIC LIGHTING FOR THE MUSIC SHELL ON SYLT
The North Sea island of Sylt, off the coast of Schleswig-Holstein and Denmark, offers nature, relaxation and unforgettable experiences. Located directly on the main beach of Westerland, the Music Shell invites visitors to enjoy a diverse summer programme in a dreamlike setting – from dance evenings and concerts to church services. To create an inviting and atmospheric ambience even in the evening hours, LEIPZIGER LEUCHTEN luminaires from the POA series with RGB-capable LED modules provide a lighting concept that can be dynamically adapted to the respective event via DMX – from soft warm white to vivid coloured highlights, POA brings vibrant colour accents to life. Two POA L IV luminaires with a height of 4 metres and four POA L VI luminaires with a height of 6 metres were installed. The luminaires were powder-coated in RAL 9010, a radiant pure white with a golden undertone. This hue appears particularly vivid in sunlight. To protect against aggressive salt water and sandstorms, an additional RK special coating was applied. The design of the POA is unique and always sparks conversation among viewers – from elephant tusks to leaning towers or blades of dune grass, many interpretations are possible. POA ENHANCES THE QUALITY OF STAY WITH AN INVITING ATMOSPHERE.
