ONE NEIGHBORHOOD, MANY STORIES – AND LIGHT THAT CONNECTS

One of the most well-known residential areas in Wiesbaden-Dotzheim is Schelmengraben. Built in the 1970s, it is today a neighborhood full of cultures, everyday life, and real vibrancy. Diversity, architecture, and generous green spaces come together here—and this is exactly where our STELLA light columns make a deliberate statement in the public realm. The custom-made installations in deep orange (RAL 2011) and sky blue (RAL 5015) reflect the liveliness of the neighborhood. Varying heights create rhythm in the space, while individual columns are connected by perforated stainless steel panels, combining structure with lightness. A special detail only reveals itself at second glance: from the right angle, letters appear in the luminaire caps which together spell the name SCHELMENGRABEN. Some of the columns are additionally equipped with a light outlet, while others intentionally forego a lighting function—yet all feature the typographic luminaire caps and form part of the shared lettering. HERE, LIGHT IS NOT ONLY FUNCTIONAL, BUT STORYTELLING
