LIGHTING DESIGN WITH CHARACTER
In Wilthen City Park, located in the Upper Lusatia region near Bautzen, the “grass” light column Lilli creates an atmosphere that invites people to linger, connect, and unwind. Especially in a place where people stroll, meet, and spend time surrounded by nature, lighting needs to offer more than pure functionality. Along the park pathways, Lilli provides orientation and safety without dominating the surrounding space. Its slender, organically curved form echoes the language of the natural vegetation and blends seamlessly into the landscape. The distinctive teardrop-shaped glanzing made of opal plastic emits a pleasantly soft, warm white light at 3000 K. In the evening, it creates calm islands of light that connect pathways, highlight gathering areas, and ensure that the park remains welcoming even after dark. With a height of 3.70 m and a high-quality DB 703 powder coating, Lilli combines long-lasting functionality with sculptural design—serving as a design feature during the day and a gentle beacon for shared moments in the park after sunset.
