BRINGING NATURE AND TOURISM INTO HARMONY – WITH POA AND PETRA

A new adventure world is being built on 22,000m² on the Ostsee beach in the municipality of Grömitz in Schleswig-Holstein. The dune park, which has already been partially completed, has a beach club, restaurants, shops, a hostel and lots of attractions for children and young people. The attractive dune park will delight tourists 365 days a year. The coordinated lighting concept also ensures this. What immediately catches the eye is the dune grass. The column luminous and curved POA steles, in 3 heights: 4m, 6m and 8m, which appear to sway in the wind in 4 special locations in clusters of 3. Steles were selected for the paths, depending on the location with a short or long light emission. The satin-finished covers allow the light to shine gently and without glare. At the same time, the light exit surface ensures a high vertical illumination surface, which means that faces can be recognized more quickly without shadows. This means that more can be done with less light for the visitor's personal sense of security and, on top of that, costs are saved. The 4m and 3.45m high steles are also equipped with some additional components, such as additional fastenings and sockets for Christmas lights, speakers or even electricity and water. For larger supply units, bollards were set up to provide electricity and water. All lights are equipped with additional seawater-resistant powder coating and seagull deflectors so that the joy lasts for a long time. Grömitz receives 90% funding from the federal government and the EU. This creates scope for other expenses. The dune park mega project is scheduled to open in early summer 2025. Nature should remain in the foreground, even with more tourists. WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO GRÖMITZ.
